My Erasmus Placement @inquito
The reason I wanted to do an Erasmus internship was to learn something new, and I did. In my field, sometimes it happens to be a bright student but still get bounced out of the hiring process just because of lacking experience.
During my Erasmus internship, not only I learned about international business, but I also learned about a different culture. inquito was the right fit for me. This experience gave me a chance to see what it’s like to work in a free and flexible environment, but also in an environment that motivates you to explore, to experience, inspire you to be the best version of yourself and to be present. inquito is a place where your voice won’t be unheard, your ideas won’t be laughed at, but accepted and evaluated. It’s a cliche, I know, but this is a place where you can grow.
If you ask me, Bucharest is unfairly not famous enough. The little Paris, as they like to call it, is a city with many things to see. With the second-largest administrative building in the world (first one is The Pentagon), over many beautiful parks to the Old town – wander around the streets, even if you get lost, you’ll discover something. On a rainy day, my to-do was to visit a museum and there is a lot of them to choose from.
Local food may be something you need to get used to, but it is yummy! Although, as a coffee lover, my favorite thing was finding some coffee shops with great coffee, of course, and an interesting environment as well to work in. Yes, there are times when you can choose where your office for the day will be.
This has been an amazing experience!
I have changed.
My way of thinking, understanding and enjoying life has changed. I fell in love with the differences we have, in discovering unknown, in adventures, in enjoying moments. I thought I am already doing that, but here I realised that was not true. inquito made me self aware of the qualities I have and encouraged me to think outside of the box in every aspect of my life.
